Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the waterproofing system last on my roof?

Because the cement slurry is a permanent layer, a coat of mastic and a coat of paint is required no more often than 5 to 7 years. The system can last indefinitely if properly maintained.

Does a waterproofing system allow my roof to adequately breathe?

Yes, tile roofs are designed to breathe from the attic side through soft vents, turbines, and other similar venting devices.

Will the waterproofing systems stop my leaks?

Yes, the waterproofing system will STOP LEAKS. The waterproofing system will not allow water to permeate underneath the tiles and back to the deteriorated asphalt paper.

Can I still pressure clean my roof to keep it clean?

Yes, and we recommend that you have that maintenance. The waterproofing system will withstand water pressure of over 5,000 psi.
